Some of you probably noticed by now that I can’t seem to decide on what my blog should look like.
It’s not that I’m a fickle-minded whiney bloke, but it just seems that I am unable to find what I really like, design-wise, in any of the free WordPress themes available.
Which leads me to think that I should perhaps look at designing my own theme, eh?

In today’s world where we read and hear of failed marriages leading to divorces, adultery and of couples that no longer communicate, it’s time to take a step back and see what God intended for men and women in the institution of marriage.
What most married couples don’t realize is that God has ordained separate and distinct roles for men and women in a marriage, and that it is exactly this failure to recognize and fulfill their roles that most couples end their marriages citing irreconcilable differences.

Reading this post at TWJ Ministries, a blog that I have come to discover and now read frequently, is a great encouragement for the week ahead.
Most times we sing hymns or commit certain hymns to our own “Favorites folder” in our consciousness because of how it spoke to us. However, it is quite uncommon to find the background story of how a hymn came to be written.

It does not belong to anyone whose blog most of us read prolifically, but to a Chinese actress whose popularity can be attributed partly to her winning the best director award for “Letter From An Unknown Woman” at the 2004 San Sebastian International Film Festival in Spain.
Xu Jinglei’s blog, started 2 years ago in 2005, doesn’t feature any sex or kiss-and-tell escapades, or political commentary, or controversial views on any topics.

Because Israel is prophecy fulfilled, and will continue to be the stage where prophecy will be fulfilled.
“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”
– Matthew 24:32-33 (KJV)
Israel is the fig tree Jesus Christ speaks of, and she had “putteth forth leaves” on May 14, 1948. Summer — the return of our Lord — is therefore indeed near!

It’s been known for some time now that the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has a bias towards the “Palestinian cause” when reporting on developments in the Middle East and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
A study by Honest Reporting — an independent, non-profit organization whose intention is to monitor and ensure fair reporting in the media — has now proven just that.
The research, conducted over 6 months, monitored 286 articles and pictures appearing on the BBC News web site between January and June 2007.
