I have never really studied the warnings given to the seven churches in Revelation in depth. Neither have I held strongly to a view whether these warnings were meant to just be given to the seven churches that were present during that time, or if that they also point to warnings to future churches.

Some believe that, under the light of Biblical prophecy, these warnings are to each of the different spiritual conditions throughout the Church Age, while others believe that they indicate actual periods of time when each church had a particular spiritual condition.

It was on this last theory — the period-condition view — that I began my study and research in the past few days.

Florida Pastor Issues 30-Day Sex Challenge for Congregation

A Florida church has issued a challenge to all singles and married couples in the congregation — that singles go without sex for 30 days while married couples go at it everyday for the same period.

I don’t know about you but I think somehow there’s an implication that the church doesn’t bat an eyelid about singles having sex after those 30 days.

“Our married people are far more fearful than our single people,” said Paul Wirth, the pastor.

As well they should be! Run, Forrest, run!

Rome’s Mayor: UN and Pope For ‘United Religion’

Walter Veltroni today resigned as mayor of Rome to focus exclusively on his campaign to become Italy’s prime minister in the April national election. In his goodbye to the press, Veltroni talked about “a place where religions can meet and talk”.

No prizes for guessing correctly where that might be: Rome.

“I have discussed the idea to make Rome a place where a building could be constructed that would be called ‘United Religion’ with the secretary-general of the UN and the Pope; it would be a place for all religions in the world. I would like to see this idea carried out and to see this place of exchange between several religions”.

How great is our God, for He is the living God!

What the LORD has said He has brought to pass to the day, and testified to not only in the Bible, but by archaeological facts, and even by the writings of secular historians.

Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it.

– Isaiah 46:8-11

Arutz Sheva, or Israel National News, on 2 December 2007 published details of the completion of the High Priest’s crown, or tzitz in Hebrew (video presentation). The tzitz is made from pure gold, in accordance with God’s instructions to Moses in Exodus 28:36-37.

And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD. And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be. And it shall be upon Aaron’s forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

– Exodus 28:36-38 (KJV), emphasis added

All that’s needed now is the Third Temple in Israel, and we shall know that we are indeed in the final week of Daniel’s vision when there shall be great tribulation, and when our Lord Jesus Christ shall return in glory and majesty!

Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us during His ministry on earth that a third temple shall indeed be built in Jerusalem and will be part of the unfolding of events as given to us in the Book of Revelation.

Take heed, you God-less political leaders who are proposing to divide up Eretz Yisrael, God’s possession, while you barter and debate in Annapolis in the name of “peace”.

Yet, in reality you are but only trying to sate the selfish motives of your own dark hearts!

Take heed, for the LORD has made a promise unto His own and shall give unto you due judgment!

Isaiah 62:1 (KJV) For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Isaiah 62:2 (KJV) And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

Isaiah 62:3 (KJV) Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Isaiah 62:4 (KJV) Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

Isaiah 62:5 (KJV) For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

Isaiah 62:6 (KJV) I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

Isaiah 62:7 (KJV) And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Isaiah 62:8 (KJV) The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:

Isaiah 62:9 (KJV) But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

Isaiah 62:10 (KJV) Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

Isaiah 62:11 (KJV) Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Isaiah 62:12 (KJV) And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.

Amen!

As for us, my dear Christian brethren and sisters, remember Israel and pray incessantly for her and Yerushalayim (Jerusalem).

I have come across many Christians, though strong in their faith and their obedience to the LORD, are not keen on reading or watching the daily news with regards to events happening in the world today.

It’s important to be joyful and fill one’s heart with the fullness of the LORD and fellowship and prayer and even to go out to the streets to evangelize, but do you know also that we are the Watchmen? And without knowledge of what is happening in the world, especially in the Middle East, we cannot be effective watchmen!

Do you know what Iran is doing? Can you put down in point form what Condoleeza Rice is proposing in the Middle East with regards to our beloved Israel and the “Palestinians”? On which day did Israel become a nation again?

Because Israel is prophecy fulfilled, and will continue to be the stage where prophecy will be fulfilled.

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.”

– Matthew 24:32-33 (KJV)

Israel is the fig tree Jesus Christ speaks of, and she had “putteth forth leaves” on May 14, 1948. Summer — the return of our Lord — is therefore indeed near!
